Fixed my 3 amigos again........the other rear sensor had gone hi resistance , reading 2 meg......so far so good.......maybe these ebay specials will last a bit longer:)

Took all the timing and cam sprockets off again today as my earlier "repair" to the oil pump didn't stop the leak

on further investigation I found the real culprit and sorted it :)

one camshaft oil seal had committed hari-kiri and split in half, allowing 5 litres of oil to pass in a single journey

all is now well in my Freelandering world :amen:

changed out my old cloth interior for a nice full leather one next thing is to change the tailgate window regulator as mine is a little hit and miss

Took it to Manchester, well Rochdale, yesterday to get a van...300.2 miles, averaged 30.7mpg :( going there was a funny trip, lots of slowing down, pretty bad weather in early rush hour traffic, but coming back was a fairly straight run at 65-70 most of the way.
I did have a pallet of steel in the back for the full trip too, but wasn't that heavy :(

It's annoying when you expect it to be more than it is!! I did 41 mpg one week then 37 the next and it's disheartening!

Put 2 new hand break cables on and cleaned out and adjusted rear brakes. Annoyingly I ran out of time and all I need to do is adjust the hand break properly then it's ready for its mot :)

Glad u sorted it :)

Took off IACV, cleaned and refited. Better idle again for a short while. Ran some diagnostics, took some live data. Topped up engine coolant........again.

Changed the rear diff forward mount. It was totally knackered.
Checked the other 2 and they are both fine. Should now stop the thump every time I change gear.
