Mine was about £230 full comp with protected NCB, what I couldn't get my head around was that it was the same amount as my Golf Gti, nice safe practical family motor vs. boy racer!

Mine is like errr ...... Double that.

And I'm a motor insurance investigator, self employed, with all my mods declared.

Mine is insured in sleepy Seaford where all the oldies drive a Hyundai so a big old Freelander is cheap to insure here.
In fact when I moved down from London I was refunded £850 on my mk4 1.8 Astra. Too bad I let my NCD expire otherwise my insurance would be even cheaper!

1999 Kawasaki ZX9R is only £148 fully comp!!

It's the price I have to bear working in the metropolis. Other people in the country doing what I do are quiet, but I'm almost always at what feels like 110% capacity, hence working 14-16 hour days every day.

I need a holiday......

Oh, I'm going on holiday on Friday for 2 weeks to the Isle of Skye. :D

£210 fully comp with 6 points, 30k/year, full NCB.
But I'm old and round here I'm more likely to hit a cow than another car!

600 ish with 6yr no claims I'm 35 but had a dew bumps last couple of years, oddly the last one where I rear ended a zafira (possible set up but my insurers didn't contest in the end) its gone down..

Been to nephews garage to look at a wall one of the mechs drove into by forgeting to pump the brakes after some work and arranged a swap for timing belts aux belt service gear oils this n that and one of their new fangled engine cleans (machine that cleans all intake mamifold etc apparently the taxi driver swear by it) not bad to say it wull only take me a day and mot much layout to fix..

£423 fully comp multicar freelander & ford puma, me & the missus 3 yrs nbc for me and 9ncb for her...

Regarding what I have done today.... Refitted gearbox and IRD. So now at least I have 2wd tomorrow I will have another look at vcu to see what's needed for 4wd. :D

Got my head back today. Ordered new timing kit and alternator belt tensioner. Total parts cost is £500. Should have just replaced that £7 alternator belt sooner!
Shall start putting it all back together tomorrow. Wanted to put a new oil pump and engine mounts but I don't think funds will allow.
