Bell Engineering fitted a reconditioned VCU & bearings. Well worth the 390 mile round trip. (Combined with a couple of visits as well)

Replaced both front wishbones, drop links, ball joints and all front bushes. While i had the under tray off i painted it satin black.

Feels a lot more solid at the front now and looks better with the under tray black

Today I took my hippo for it's first mot in my ownership. While waiting in the viewing area and daring not to look  I happened across a LRO magazine dated august 2012. Cracking 15 years of freelander article staring a freelander owned by a Jamie Cox. Guess thats Jc600 :)
Anyway many minutes later im beckoned with a request for £ 40 in return for a clean bill of health.
Grrrrrrrrreat.
Ta very much.

Thats what I done with my freelander today.

Done the crankcase filter to cyclone mod. Cut a hole in the sump guard and changed the oil. Enlarged the new hole in the sump guard and cleaned up the old engine oil from the sump guard and dad's garage floor!

Fitted a Witter detachable towbar today. Just waiting for the electrics to arrive as I don't want to do the cut and paste job. I'd rather just plug in. Will convert to 13pin as well.

Got my o/s rear large Hardon Kardon speaker working.

I now need a new connector for the tweeter above it and possibly new contacts as they look broken. Hmmmm.

Slowly getting the car sorted.
