I've never changed an exhaust in any Freelander and they were all as old as yours. They must have been well made.
I put the flash little one from Muddy Mods or something like that on mine.
Very nice it is too although cost more as I remember but that was years ago. When I used to spend money on it.
 
yes I'm aware that actually towing something with this on a public road is probably illegal as it's not type approved

Only if it breaks and causes an accident where someone is seriously injured or killed. Many years ago I remember having tow bars fitted at some guys house. He had a cottage industry making and fitting tow bars at the weekend and I can't imagine type approval was an option.

When I retrieved the transmission bits off my K Series parts car, I removed the exhaust.

Its no good to me so sat in the garage for years.

Eventually had a clear out and listed it on the Kiwi version of eBay. Not the slightest of interest. Relisted it a few times and nothing.

The 1 time you want Land Rover parts to be unreliable, and they go on for bloody ever!
