That would be fab. Please only go to the trouble if it is good. Only problem on a scrap yard is the window glass needs to be down or broken !!

Very good of you. Please let me know if successful mission. Cheers...
Yep No problem. I won't have a problem getting it off and will only get it if it's in decent condition. I'll also ask them how much they want in advance. Depending on who is on the counter, prices can be variable at this particular yard

I seem to have developed a slight diesel leak on the FL1 TD4. I think it drips a little bit from somewhere in between the bulkhead and engine which is leaving a few drips on the floor when parked. The performance and starting is all fine so I am wondering if it’s something to do with the fbh or fuel return system. Can’t see until I get it up on ramps and sump plate off which I will have to do. Does this kind of drippage ring any bells with anyone; anything notorious for this around there anyone know? Thanks 🙏

On some models, the fuel filter is located on the near side inner wing, I recently had to replace my filter, not because it was due on mileage, but because it was leaking due to a cracked seal #britpart

My fuel filter is by the rear wheel but thanks for replying 👍

Got a low cranking voltage warning this morning from my BM2 battery monitor. It says the battery dropped to 8.84V while cranking, so I guess I need to put it on charge for 24 hours, then test it again.

Just picked up my car from having a number of tests to determine the source of coolant contamination. The conclusion is, well, inconclusive but good news. It's not HGF or any of the coolers. I can only conclude that something rogue entered the system at the last top up. Either way, we now have a fully flushed system, and nice new oil in the IRD and autobox.

I was contemplating trying to find the intermittent diesel leak on the FL TD4 but decided it was too cold so wussed out. I am wondering if it could have something to do with the FBH as it occurred to me I haven’t smelt it for a while and on closer inspection concluded that it isn’t actually working 🤔. Anyone got come across anything similar? Deffo diesel dripping a little bit from somewhere I can’t see but performance not affected at all.

Found the leak! The top of the injectors was flooded. I am thinking it’s one of the diesel feeds to an injector because if it was an injector leaking like that wouldn’t performance be affected? Which it isn’t.

So I think the leak is the injector return spill pipe. Does anyone know where I can get the replacement brass fittings that go in the top of the injector that replace the plastic ones? Thanks

it never actually rains 😩

Oh the joys eh!

I had an hour in the freezing cold tonight trying to sort out why my TD4 overheated on the way home from work. I think the guys that were doing some work for me last week didn't bleed the cooling system after a flush as the temp was all over the shop. Fingers crossed that it's sorted now.

Received new ‘o’ rings for the injector spill off connectors and fitted them. The old ones were absolutely brittle and useless. Dried up the leaked diesel around the injectors and am really hopeful it was as simple as that to fix 🤞
