Currently doing the engine bay wiring for my spot lights and noticed my coolant reservoir looking a little on the dark side. On inspection I can see the cap has been venting and there is a very thin layer of something on the surface. Fearing the worst but hoping for the best and knowing that TD4 head gasket failures are rare, I'm hopeful that it's just some contamination due to a failed pressure cap or recent topup. The next suspect could be the IRD cooler (having had a new auto box cooler two or three years ago.

Moved my daughter to her new house. ๐Ÿ™

Her new house is only a mile away so I didn't fuss about the trailer lights not working or the reg being wrong. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Thankfully the car didn't cut out the whole time as this is still happening occasionally. Some days not at all but other days maybe a couple of times. Weirdly it sometimes happens when I use the turn on the headlights or high beams so I think it may be an earth issue.

Hopefully she has a great year in the new home
All the best
Thanks, tonight will be her first night staying there so we'll see how it goes but she is a VERY determined girl so I suspect she'll stay there every night from now on so we will miss her. ๐Ÿฅฒ
It's funny watching her get really fussy about stuff she never cared about at home.

I hope that weather stayed away during the move.

Hasn't stopped since. :(
It feels like its been raining for months. I need to get the welding done on my middle daughters car, but it's either ****ing down or blowing a hooley, neither of which are helpful for welding outside.
