so now you have to remove 8 screws instead of 12...
that does not seem so much improvement besides when you remove the whole sump access is much better. But fine for me if it works for you.

I got 4... and access to all stuff on underside :D

Put a new AP clutch in our 02 Td4. Not a job I'd want to do every day! I might hire an engine hoist and drop the engine out if I have to do it again.

Put the battery on charge. Has our first frost of winter a couple of days ago and this morning there wasn't enough juice to turn the motor over. Should I bother charging it, or just bite the bullet and replace it? Can't remember if/when we've replaced it.

Hi grumpy

Frost in Christchurch ...... Looks like we left at the right time :)

I lived with a lazy battery for a couple of years - changed it this year now it's perfect

Done some interior changes. Can you spot the differences?

Replaced the vacuum hose that runs to the EGR solenoid, bit of a fiddle getting the new one on the solenoid mostly by feel…

Managed to route the hose better so it shouldn't rub on other bits and pieces…

Washed it too!

It took less than half an hour for the chrome rings, but nearer 2 hours for the RonBox switch (plus all the swearing). Trying to fit the cable from the switch through the bulkhead  eventually got it through where the bonnet release cable exits.

Had oil and filter change + MOT..... it passed with only 2 advisories :)

2 back tyres have only 3mm tread - was going to change these anyway, and rough running at idle. I have iCarsoft i930 which tells me this is injector 1 (P0263). Really urprised it passed as it billows out white/blue smoke when cold (smells of unburnt diesel).

Anyway, happy it passed.....

Doesn't look too bad, hopefully just the bumper that's pushed the bonnet up. It's a big empty space behind that dent in the bumper so may be lucky.

Freelanders are surprisingly tough, had an accidental side swipe with a BMW X3 a month or so ago. Big dent in his front wing and maybe a crease on the bonnet. Mine had a bit of black BMW paint on the rear plastic arch.

Yup they are quite resilient!
