Finally fitted the Pirelli Cint's I bought off my neighbour last month. Much quieter and feel more "grippy" than than the crappy old Nankangs that were on when I bought it.

The front tyre walls don't seem as compressed either!
 
It was Yesterday actually. I rebuild the front brakes fitted new seals and greased the sliders. They work a treat now :) much lighter in operation and they no longer drag so hopefully I'll use a bit less fuel?
 
Just cut me inner wings and welded up the edges of the chassis rails to allow proper clearance for the 2" lift, cos the track rod ends catch on full droop!
It's a novelty to have to get the welder out when you own a freelander:D

I salute you. Mine tripped over 120k miles today, 50k with me at helm. Well we have had our ups and down but she only let me down the one time when alternator tensioner exploded on M25, and even then we were able to limp to the next exit. Heater matrix hurt the wallet as did VCU & exhaust manifold - should say half miles i have done in 4x4 and half mondo. No HGF so far, clutch bearing bit raty and crank oil seal on gearbox end needs doing anyway. Seem to have spent shed loads on bits and pieces over the years - but I am a bit fussy. Changed both rear wheel bearings and overhauled rear brakes last summer - pipes, flexis, drums, the works. O yea, window regulators, front discs, pads etc, tyres etc, usual stuff, lift kit but did not like so got shot. ho hum.

My old one td4 auto had done 173,000, and not a lot of problem vcu ect but in all she did me proud, but then i had a water leek and could not find it, neither could Landrover main agent in Eniskillen n/Ireland, got back home and decied to swap a few hoses went to Stratstones in Stoke-on-Trent and came out with the newer one all ok, except for the lousy tyres on the back i told them they were not fit for perpose but they would not replace , i have just had the auto gearbox fluid replaced at Autobox of Longton S-o-T very cheap but LR wanted 3 times more the car has only done 50,000 now, but it is 6 years old so that why i had it changed.
 
Not today, but yesterday cured the the noisy drivers side wiper with a little twist of the arm.

Checked levels and tyre pressures for good measure.

Just got to sort the non working passenger heated seat…
 
Usual weekly checks round then put some rain x anti-fog on the inside of the windows to see if that stops condensation and the freezing up (recommended by someone else on here - sorry forgot who though) :)
 
fooked it. Had to do an emergency stop because some woman walked out infront of me. Heavily stalled the engine. Sounded like it was about to jump out the bonnet. Started it up and it sounds even more like a tractor. I think she's jumped a tooth on the cam belt. Should of run over the blind bitch
 
Started the engine and put on the seat heater 5 minutes before setting off for work so it was all de-iced and warm by the time I left :)
