Put my decat pipe on and it's now a little too noisey with my side exit exhaust, don't think the neighbours will like it. Or anyone in a 5 mile radius for that matter. As much as I like the side exit I think I will have to put a new center pipe and backbox on now :(

Recently acquired a 3dr sport premium as a dog chariot!
Replaced front disks and pads and with the wheels off, took the opportunity to make sure the bolts holding the struts to hub would come out- the did - just! (have bad experiences with these before)
Track rod end and track rod bolts freed up and tracking done.
de-rusted and waxoyled. Must do the back end before winter.

EGR had previously been removed but there was a bow from the exhaust connection to a blanking disk because the stem holding the disk was too short! Cut the stem and now no blow. Replaced the crankcase breather and dealt with a few loose bits and pieces under the bonnet.

Done a lot of "decreaking" of seats and trim, nothing worse than a car that creaks. Next job is to have the headlining off and foam fill the pillars to get rid of road noise and stiffen it up. This technique has worked wonders on other cars, even made a Meto Diesel almost civilised! Takes a body fro "tinny" to "woody"

Would be interested to see a write-up of that :)

Spent all day wiring my homemade trailer and treating the hippo to a new 7pin wiring loom this time one that plugs in and not bodged in using crappy connectors

Once the idiot pining me in moves I might be able to test it lol

Decided to hang fire on the headlining until some self adhesive felt arrives. Going to put this between the casings that can rub/rattle. Regarding foam, I use expanding foam in the windscreen and roof pillars after first taping over any holes where it could escape.
Any closed cell foam sheet is OK for soundproofing cheapest is camping mat.

As well as fitting decat pipe I fitted a new transfer box seal to stop the leaking and removed rear diff backplate and changed the oil. Fitted my sump guard that's been sitting around for ages whilst I have been watching how quickly oil was leaking out the transfer box.

With my straight through pipe I can hear a definite exhaust note change whilst sitting at the lights and all feet off the pedals. I assume that's the egr kicking in?

Hoovered ma hippo today and had a practice at polishing/waxing round the door frame. Results are good. Just need to do some more paint chip touch ups so I can polish/wax all of it when I get time. :)

Phoned to cancel my insurance.
The guy said "Can you send us back your policy document?"
I said I just had the one I downloaded.
He said that's fine, just email it back to us.
Huh?

Repaired my map light/interior light unit. Repaired a vacuum line by cutting it an inch shorter. Cleaned the rubber matting on the dash and arm rest. Replaced battery in my key fob. Now considering the future the FL.

Forgot to add, I found a hole in my air box too!
