I might be able to sort it with 3 as I can place the 4th switch in the front light console like this.

Currently in discussions with LRP about a switch panel. I’m after a 4 switch one but would be able to do what I want with 3 and keep the switch I have in the front light console. Still working a few things out in my head then I’ll decide.

After replacing the thermostat my Disco 2 was still getting overheating warnings on the Nanocom, at 93c. So, took off the thermo fan, and checked out the rad. Rad wasnt heating up all over, just the top portion. So, I picked up a new rad from Craddocks, and fitted it. Test drive and the radiator is now warm all over. Hopefully, I've found the issue. I have a water pump as well, just in case, so wont fit that just yet.

nothing interesting driving it getting used to it. had a few p38s before.
brake light switch broke fixed that.
interior lights all fixed.
need to do climate unit yet.
fuel gauge was funny when I got it ran out of fuel at 1/4 tank so took pump out and found it's near brand new Siemens/vdo unit so not sure why yet.
started on my mot advisory list.
brake pipes and hoses ordered.
pair of front springs.
pair of front callipars.

I know many people who don't bother with the advisory's & take a chance that the tester will miss
them next time round. Good to see your putting in the effort & getting yours sorted.;)

Double checked the newly installed brake pads from the other weekend, did a road test with a mate, the grinding/rubbing is definitely from the rear nearside, not the front. SO, while I did the pads change properly, it wasn;t the front. Morale: Always have a mate providing a second set of ears, as sound travels oddly inside a wagon ;)

On examination, it appears that the nearside disk has some uneven scoring not easily visible with the wheel in place. Most likely this is due to uneven pressure from the pistons, and will require the disks on both rear wheels to be replaced (always do those in pairs!), and a new caliper assembly on the nearside rear. Just as well I have new discs in my stores already! This will be dealt with next weekend I get, which'll be likely Tues/Wed next week.

Test fitted this. Mainly to test the 13 pin to 7 pin converter works. It’s a Thule Easybase. Will be used when we go to Cornwall next month.
