Failed MOT, took her off to get welded up. Garage can't touch her for a while, as another Disco 1 is being seen to. So she's languishing on the naughty step at the back of the yard. At least she's not in the elephant's graveyard.

Which bit was mouldy ?

What bit wasn't :(
Inner wings, sills, bottom of various pillars. Wish I could weld rather than strangle copper tube, and had somewhere to do the work. Having spent a small fortune getting the engine sorted last year I'm hoping it's the devil you know rather than throwing good money after bad. (where's the fingers crossed emoji?)

We did ours out the front of the house ... box sectioned the sills, incorporating the pillar repairs ... following month, inner wing N/S ... and so on ...

It's always best that you know it's done ... you can buy another, but it may be just a tart in red drawers ...

Continued to dismantle the back end to clean the chassis down and treat it. Rear axle and all the associated bits that bolt it to the chassis removed. Bump stops fell apart as expected. Exhaust removed and now the chassis is much easier to access.

bled the brakes and found the front prop shaft is foo-barred

so who has replaced their prop shaft UV joint bearings and is it an easy - ish procedure?
also where are the bearings best sourced from?
