Frankly Gary I wouldn't use any lubricant like Silicone compound because if the risk of the "O" rings slipping out of where they're supposed to be. If you must use something to aid assembly, then I would probably try a "bit of spit" first.new o rings turned up for my front valve block rebuild
wondering do u think silicone lubricant grease is ok to use , or don't use anything plse

The only lubricants I would ever consider on rubber anyway would be "Hellerine" or failing that, a tiny drop of castor oil.
Sure am, however picking up the 3 on Saturday.

SE, tried for a few HSE's but they seem to either very high mileage or have loads wrong with them, one I looked at had 9 previous owners in 9 years! (that was enough for me to discount it)
My TD5 is an SE, phoned the insurance today, policy is due at the end of January and it cost me £36 to change vehicles, so not expecting a massive increase come renewal time.
Now that I'm officially an old fart (51) insurance is not usually that expensive, was £170 last year fully comp
blimey that was a good deal , had to pay £100 to end ins
i'm 51 in jan , 6 x years ncb, clan licence, car on drive , limited milage 3,000 miles per year , inc brakedown cover,
comes to £600 quid comp, but paying it monthly costs me £80 per month due to the interest
adrian flux wanted £1,500 , was disgusted and they wouldn't budge , went with A plan ins , staff very good and got from £1200 to £600

was the cheapest , even in comparison sites , but am near london , 10 x miles away
Bluury hell, thats steep.
I went onto a comparison website, just to get an idea of what it would cost and not the cheapest but as I'm with them just now as we have 3 cars on a multi policy I kept this
