You need to get it somewhere you couldn't get in a fiesta

that's a brilliant trick, managing to change land rover whilst driving

impressive :D:p

how many miles can u drive off road for, looks like an awesome place to visit, camping along the way ;)
North and mid Wales will spoil you pal, that's actually not that far from the tarmac but there's some smashers up there, I prefer the scenic stuff more than the extreme stuff as it's my daily driver. Me and @danny6801 spent the day up there having a mooch

never been to wales , but have also heard the off roading is really good

that's the kind of off roading i would also like to do, taking in the scenery and not doing the more extreme lanes

as mines also a daily driver i want to look after it, being able to still drive off road and not wrecking it

should have mine all finished this year , so fingers crossed am hoping to see if i can tag along some time plse

@gstuart

Gary, I see you asking about a rear view mirror camera, This is the one I eventually bought:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-3-FHD-1080P-2-Lens-Car-DVR-Dash-Cam-Recorder-Video-Rear-View-Mirror-Camera-/172519419907?hash=item282af57003

The reasons why I chose this one:
  • There's a rear view camera which shows at the full 4.3 inch picture when you select reverse gear, powered by the reversing light circuit.
  • The control buttons are hidden away when they aren't being used.
  • The front view lens when the mirror is fitted in place is on the right hand side of the mirror. All the others I'd looked at the lens was on the left and the mirror mount on the windscreen could intrude into the camera's view, bearing in mind the way the mirror is angled for the driver under normal conditions.
The downside is that there's no GPS on it, but I think there's a connection for tieing into a sat-nav. Another downside is that the rear camera is wired, not wireless.
I use a 32 Gig class 10 micro SD card in mine.

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302152107532

This is the one but I'm looking at others with built in satnav

I'm looking at this one

I am also looking for a front and rear camera setup.
Is a gps part just for a sat nav or is it so you can log position and speed in the event of a crash?

Chris

The more expensive ones do have in-built GPS mapping which will log the various navigation factors at the time of an incident aka crash such as location, direction of travel, speed and so on.
However, the one which I've installed, at just under 40 quid doesn't have this GPS capability but it does have a little socket to enable connection to an external GPS device, which I don't have. I do however have a small HUD or "head-up display" unit which projects my speed as numbers onto the windscreen.

I thought this was what have you done to your discovery today. Maybe I'm in general chat?

OK, I just did my weekly checks, walked around it, counted the wheels - found four, so none missing, all four were generally round so there's no air missing either.
Opened the bonnet, checked the fluid levels, horror of horrors, one needed topping up, so I filled the screenwash bottle, all good again. Closed the bonnet and locked the Disco again.
Checked the amount of dust and other crap on the bodywork, all washed off in last night's rain, so no need to visit the Polish car wash place.
Came in and made a cup of coffee.
All done 'til next time.

Ha ha she actually surprisingly quiet if you don't put your foot down, which my neighbours will be pleased with.

Yes no air con on the van. Just took the old cooler out, angled the rad towards the engine and the new cooler slid down between the rad and the slam panel
