Finally got my van running last weekend :D
Turned out my non starting issue was down to a flat battery in the remote

Battery changed and fired up sweet, also replaced the broken passenger window regulator so that works now.

Just gotta find a D1 central locking motor for the passenger door and the door card can go back on.

Then it's time to find a good deal on a full service kit including the gearbox and diff oils.

Chris.

redone the third button on the remote to open the boot

didn't realise at first of all the different options that can be programmed to the third button

options

activate the alarm
open boot
lower or raise suspension
turning the headlights on

Pre-warm curling tongs
turning the headlights on
Flash three times
Honk twice

Sounds quite comprehensive

It's got the FBH (as most do) but not on the remote. I believe what timers you need get it going are about £80

not going to bother myself

isn't urs already set up and just need the remote ??

Repaired a hole in the chassis behind the rear left suspension spring & shock assembly (well, a mate did, who knows how, as I don't weld!), replaced a faulty door lock module on the offside rear door to match the other I did last week, and adjusted the steering lock stop bolts to cater for the larger wheels the previous owner stuck on there.

Also helps you get your vanity case out :rolleyes::p

i have a nice mirror in my sun visor u know ,

even the passenger side has one too ,

by the way what did u think of driving the D3 to other any other landies u may have owned/ driven plse

I have only ever driven Disco's no other LR products. Have liked them all in their way as they were good at doing what they do well.
D1 on an off roading day years ago
D2 for towing my caravan for the past 3.5 years
D3's on various test drives
D4 on a test drive

I don't hanker after a Porsche or a Ferarri but a D4 HSE Lux. I'll get one one day!
