At least I know the purge system works well, and it also showed me a gap in my recovery kit that I need to fill! Silver lining and all that

Run Dennis out of fuel today like a plum! Filled and primed fine, but didn't have enough juice in the battery to get him turned over.

Lesson learned, don't drive past 7 fuel stations with your fuel light on as the reserve isn't as big as you had hoped.

And 2, get a battery booster pack to start up your car after being a plum

why does that sound familiar in running out of fuel , ;)done that and the landy at the time wished to have a holiday whilst going onto a roundabout, awesome :D:D:D:D

was an old series safari that had its own ventilation system in the floors and drank fuel like there was no tomorrow

agree ref the battery pack, bought a clarkes one while back, great life savers, :D

Yeah looking at the Clarke stuff, seems pretty decent

Just dont be such a skin flint in future and put diesel in your motor!
I never run with less than half a tank

Never had, don't see the need. Drove the TD5 for over 100,000 miles and it was fine

useto always get the diesel plus fuel and did t run nicer, but alas don't know about this engine

seem some also put two stroke in, but never have done that

always stuck to either the plus fuel or millers additive

was tempted by the synergy box again , but this engine has plenty of torque in it, suppose to add at least 10-15 mpg but am happy with the engine the way it is

Every time I add fuel, think I've been to the garage 4 times to top up. I reset the dash read outs.
Majority of the time its reading between 28 - 30 mpg realise its probably less but I'm happy with that.

mines dropped to around 9-10 mpg around town

got to get round to doing the egr blank

after that will get it down the motorway on a good clearout, to clear the cobwebs , injector readings also are fine

has had a full service , with every filter and oil changed , apart from the autobox, will do that myself

no errors on the iid at all, started off doing around the 20s , it just dropped

been reported the egr can really suck the mpg if it's choked up,

I passed 7 of them whilst the fuel light was on :D

I'm keeping this handy

Yeah I would. I could get fuel on the way into work as didn't want to be late (got caught up in an accident)

Didn't get it in the morning as I needed a poo
