New bias-plate gaiter finally arrived so that's been fitted along with the the other bits including the centre console... it's only when all that stuff is out of the car that you realise just how noisy the gearbox is!

Just been out & used my nanocom to switch the suspension to run on springs, its a bit harsher ride without
the bags & bit thumpy over pot holes but I can live with that as its just my work vehicle :)

I was always looking at the car when bags were fitted to see if they were at the right height but now no worries at all with the springs fitted. Mine were standard and can't tell any difference from bags.

Been clandestine wooding :p

So no doubt it'll need vacuuming tomorrow to get all the spiders and wood lice out

Gave it an oil and filter change.

Then went to change the air filter, while doing this the small bore pipe from the top of the rad to the exp tank snapped, was not given grief or twisted / contorted very much out of position when moving the filter box lid past it. But snap it did.

Luckily I had some pipe that fit over the OD of the plastic pipe a wrap of T rex tape, ( that stuff is strong) and the jubilee clips will see how it lasts until the replacement arrives PCH000360. Is not pretty , but will keep an eye on it. Spare pipe and jubilees in the car ready to go.

Fitted land rover seat covers with the separate head rest covers as the snap on ones I bought are crap & don't fit worth a toss, half a bin bag would have been better them

A sound job there neilly. I remember many moons ago I repaired the top hose on my old moggie 1000 van with alternating layers of self amalgamating tape and that old rubberised linen insulating tape, remember that stuff?. I ran the van for 1000's of miles, I was living in London at the time and I never did get round to replacing the hose.

LOL, I had some SA tape, but needed to join the hard plastic pipe, strange how it broke! just snapped with almost no pressure against it. A new one is only a £10.

Fingers crossed it will hold together.

Hmm, changed the master and slave Clutch cylinders. Spent 7 hours on the job and constantly getting air bled through the pipes, can't get any resistance on the pedal and therefore no clutch.

Going to try again today so fingers crossed we can get to the bottom of this problem.

Did you put the slave the right way up?
