Looks pretty tidy to me from what you can see in the photos, I wouldn't be worried about the door bottom as they are fairly easy to repair.

What makes you think it'll only be five grand?

Hi,
I went to see this 110 yesterday

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rove...698963?hash=item1c5f39aa53:g:kzwAAOSwFqJWipaY

eBay item number: 121856698963

And it looks fairly tidy. One of the doors does need some work but the rest of the body and chassis (from what I could tell) looks half decent. High miles doesn't necessarily put me off but wondered what you guys thought for circa 5K?
Thanks in advance.
Phill

Looks reasonably clean and straight for its age. The only thing I would wonder about is that there are no pics of the problem areas of the chassis? Hope you checked carefully where the upper xmember attaches on top of chassis, and on the rear chassis legs? Also the bulkhead inside the footwells under the lining, they often rot inside where the door pillar joins the bulkhead.

Like the others, I would think if that is an honest vehicle, it might well sell a bit better than that!

as others has said missing 1 or 2 key photos but don't think you can go far wrong looking at it. My guess it will hit 6k ish prices have gone up a bit it would appear :)

Thanks for the help and replies. It has had the rear cross member done and an MOT till Nov, so one would think/hope !! That any other rotten areas would have been highlighted?? I did have a look underneath and there was some rusting to where the rear chassis legs sit but not a great deal. Time to ponder, but time is running out !!!

At the end of the day Phil it depends on what you're happy with and how much you want to spend on it, it's a defender so sooner or later it will need work doing on it.

It's a tratter and the chassis does rust so all defenders sooner or later will need work doing, as a plus point from the couple of photos shown it looks pretty good and the owner hasn't tried to hide anything under layers of underseal.
The bulk head also rusts around the top and footwell areas and all defenders will eventually need this sorting out, again from what I can see there doesn't appear to be any visible problems or bodged repairs done by the owner but one day it will need attention cos it's a tratter and that's where they go rusty.

If you're happy with it then buy it and enjoy it but be prepared that it will need attention sooner or later and for everyones sake get some protection/anti theft stuff fitted the week you buy it cos I'm sick of people having theirs nicked then saying they were going to fit something one day. Skytags or similar are a good idea;)

And if you are a vicar be prepared for some weird looks off your fellow church goers as mine gets some strange and disapproving looks when it's parked outside my church and there's big honks of mud falling off it and chunks of turf on the roof. They don't understand:D

Yes not too sure what my Bishop will think ??
All mine for 5k and just driven her home. I now have a left leg the size of a house and the whole overtaking thing was novel (Oh how I do miss my disco v8!) Going to pop it into local indi to get it serviced and have the belts done and give it the once over.
Big smiles here.

Overtaking?? :D

It looks a lovely 110.

In my opinion a bargain with the way prices are going for these.
You could easily add £2-3,000 to the value with a couple of weekends work.

So hard to get in good condition for under £10,000.
