Just imagine the insides of your inlet manifoldsThe new (to me) 4.4 has been complaining; "EGR Flow Insufficient". So I decided to look into that and while I was there to remove the donut intake and inspect the rubbers to see if they were the cause of my sporadic low boost pressure issue. There was definitely a little evidence of EGR fouling to put it mildly.
This is what happens with low mileage, short journey cars but please don't get me started on the merits of EGR!
All nice and clean now. I scraped about 10mm of gunk off the MAP sensor while I was in there cleaning it too. I now have very reliable boost correlation errors so that is now working nicely again albeit highlighting other issues. Another step closer even if it feels like it's going slightly backwards sometimes.

I can apply torque to it by hand enough to get a click click.. but the rear one seems to be the same, although all covered in heat shields etc. Both move back and forth too..Could be UJ on shaft Kermie. That tends to change sound/vibration depending on throttle applied

Eeee cv scares me. I'm used to what those sound like when they go on a fwd car. Definitely a whine/whistle type noise.Be careful how you say that.
First it’s CV type joints on the front and back, with a conventional UJ in the middle of the rear near the bearing I think.
When 1 of the front 1s went it was a clicking not a whine.
Oh and it’s not a simple 30min drop the prop job .

Peeled off the "Gangsta Tints".
I don't like black cars with dark tinted windows and mine just looked like a van! As it was parked in the sun and everything was hotter than Shania Twain in the late '90s I thought it would be a good way to spend some of my lunch break. They peeled off without leaving any residue which was a RESULT! I think it looks much better now and showcases the Ivory trim far more.
The other day, my neighbour walked past with his dog and asked if it was a 4.4 TDV8, I told him it was and a couple of hours later he returned and gifted me a timing kit for this engine saying it was used once for a job and he won't ever own one of these so I may as well have it.
