Drove to Newquay and back - ~600 mile round trip, to pick up this poor lad, he had to be taken away from his home of three years, kept in Police kennels for a couple of weeks, then 'rescue' kennels for a month, then rehomed - didn't work out,
probably through no fault of his, after eleven days.
We were asked to see if he'd be suitable and most importantly, if he'd get on with our existing rehome (she's still grumpy with him, but coming around to the idea that he'll be staying! - probably the five hour drive down didn't help).

Anyway, for the M42, M5, A30, there is (IMO) no better car, adaptive cruise, front & rear climate - and as we found out on the way back, after being told he had Sardines for his brekky every day - an opening pan roof, are essential to stress-free driving, comfort and wellbeing of all concerned!
Oh, I forgot to mention, if we couldn't take him, he'd have to be euthanised - so no pressure then!
There is a long 'back-story' but I can't really say much more in public, other than he'd still be at his home if it wasn't for interfering busybodies exerting their five minutes of power over a situation they only saw one small part of. grrrrrrr......
