There is some leeway, mate drives hgv and I asked him a good while ago but I glazed over a bit and can't remember exactly what.Quick question for anyone that drives hgv.. are you hours a hard cut off? Ie if you're unexpectedly stuck in traffic for an hour, do you have to say oh look.. 3pm I've got to stop right now?
Always thought you had leeway to get to somewhere safe eg services if you're on the motorway
I have LGV on my licence and have driven 7.5 tonne trucks commercially. It's never happened to me, but the tachograph will show clearly if you have been stuck in traffic past your cutoff time, in which case I would expect plod to accept that there was no alternative for the driver but to continue to a safe stopping place. There is some leeway, mate drives hgv and I asked him a good while ago but I glazed over a bit and can't remember exactly what.
The Cat & Fiddle…one of the best roads in Britain in my opinion, even in the snow. How I miss living in Congleton.Went over the cat n fiddle today, it was snowing!!!!
And my heater was working!!! Wipers even worked for a while
Not any more. The road was rough!! No way I'd take my bike there in the current state!! More like a farm track in placesThe Cat & Fiddle…one of the best roads in Britain in my opinion, even in the snow. How I miss living in Congleton.
