I hit one of the ridiculous terracotta walls that are now being installed int the half way part of crossings in Westminster, NO illuminous paint or even white markings, took out my wheel and tyre, terrifying explosion as tyre let go, fortunately no suspension damage or wheel alignement issues...but pricey for new tyre, already had spare wheel.Hit the biggest pot hole ever tonight, full of water so didn't see it. Genuinely thought I'd broken something
Let's see what the tyre looks like in the morning
On Otto, no sunroof, we get wet headliner at the windscreen, mostly outer edges. We suspect some sort of leak in under the transverse trim strip across the front of the roof or possibly under the fore and aft strips that hold the roof rack mounts. He's patched across the trim with gorilla tape and that considerably reduces it. We have butyl rubber sealer to treat it with eventually, but I think the clips for the trim are unobtainable and don't survive removal.Troops, the headliner at both A pillars is **** wet through. Sunroof drains blocked or condensation?
I've just bought a brand new one off amazon for just over 30 quid. It's from an Audi a4 and looks like the same motor but different bracket. I was going to swap the bracket but this one is moulded so I might just take the innards out and fit them into mine.Seems you can get a rebuild kit.. probably something i need to do sooner than later!
If second hand motors aren't dear maybe it's worth doing a swap then i can rebuild at my leisure and keep the car useable
It's just the rubber seal that leaking a bit, the motor is fine so farI've just bought a brand new one off amazon for just over 30 quid. Secondhand motors seem to be going for anything upwards of 100 quid so I figured I'd take a punt on the 30 quid jobbie first and see if I can make it work.
Cost me new front tyres 4 or 5 weeks back when I hit oneHit the biggest pot hole ever tonight, full of water so didn't see it. Genuinely thought I'd broken something

Unlikely to be condensation IMO. Joints under the plastic roof strips is a possibility.Troops, the headliner at both A pillars is **** wet through. Sunroof drains blocked or condensation?
The sunroof is jammed and is on the to do list. Wonder if it’s not closed properly, this weather is not the time to be messing with sunroofsUnlikely to be condensation IMO. Joints under the plastic roof strips is a possibility.
