Gave Buttercup an oil change today, what a drama I made of that, managed to tip half a litre of very black oil onto the hardstanding, slopped it out of the drain pan after draining the sump,
tried cleaning it up but going to have to get the pressure washer out to it. Why oh why did the VM designers decide to have the oil filter fitted upside down so all the oil spills out of the filter as soon as you start unscrewing it? loads of rags underneath and a plastic bag underneath and I still managed to drop a load of oil all down the side of the engine
and of course even more onto my nice clean concrete.
I like to keep the concrete clean to show up any leaks, cos I don't like leaks, and generally neither Buttercup or Norman (the 90) suffer leaky willy syndrome.
