Today I mainly played with the switch pack found it wasn't lack of power but an excess of old coffee. See my post power to switch pack post.whilst waiting to a reply to my post I tried to find if I had power to the fuel pump this meant dropping the tank, so I removed the pump to check it. It was new a few years back guess this is why it wouldn't start. The second photo shows the fuel pipe I had to buy from the Stealers cost £96 years ago robbing bar.stewards

So I’m not locked out but she is having a tantrum

RF is disconnected don’t use fob usually.

Open door with key and all opens - lights blink - alarm off.
Get in.... all doors super lock for no reason except drivers door pin doesn’t move, doors now won’t open from handle inside, but the 3 unlock from passenger door pin :confused:

Given fact tailgate button now doesn’t operate and key in drivers door only works mechanically (no alarm), and no fob functions guessing its famous long Earth/door microswotches playing up. Have to get door card off but not sure can see anything from in there anyhow :(

Still driveable so far so good

If the drivers door opens but the rest don't the microswitches inside are shot..

@martyuk refurbs them, he might have one on his shelf! ;)

Not one I can afford he don’t :D

I’ve been using just key for years so bound to happen sooner or later. Opens the door just no electric power... hope I don’t need EKA anytime soon :eek:
Last time was on packed petrol station forecourt

Your being a 95 it'll have the switch with the Double plug, you can find them on bgay píss cheap last i checked!

Compared to the single plug variety of the Later models!!!!!:rolleyes:

Changed the steering damper today, having taken the old one off it didn't seem too bad so chucked it into the "Only slightly buggered box".
Next job was to try and get rid of any slack in the rear damper top bushes, after a lot of faffing about with measuring kit I opened out some big washers I had, step drills are wonderful for this type of work by the way, and managed to compress enough to gently hammer split pins in to finish the job.
Well I say finish, I did have to turn over the ends of the split pins, first one went OK, second one my grips slipped as I was grunting the short leg round and I gave the brake caliper a good backhander. Now feeling sorry for myself and still gently weeping claret over the mouse mat every time I flex my fist.:oops:

Why isn't the driver's sill button moving? I'd fix that first. MGF lock actuators from the same year are the same and a lot cheaper on the Bay.

I fitted Discovery bushes to my Classic, bugger to press in but eliminated all damper slackness .

Drivers side Sill button opens with the key

but the central locking only opens/closes from passenger sill button and boot button is dead
Gonna have look for anything behind door card as drivers window is moving weirdly not like normal

Gave her two new front boots . Had a look at her on four poster, as she seemed to be wearing more on the nearside front, but nothing untoward to see.

Hi, had my first day trip in the Range since April due to isolation and wanted to check all was well after fitting the new front strut. After a good blast up the A1(M) across from Thirsk to Pickering via Sutton Bank then home via the A64, I am pleased to post the below Screenshot. Happy days.
Tricky.
