Replaced the starter motor, which turned into a faff. First time using OE parts, so wasn't plug and play. But since they didn't want my old unit, I figure I'll give referbing a starter a shot. It is already broken, so it isn't as though I can break it anymore. How hard can it be to repair a weak bendix anyway?

Some days you just have to pray to the god of RRs and have a little faith ;)

P.S Nice to see you, thought you'd disappeared.
I've run out of rabbit feet and 4 leaf clovers though.

I had for a bit, they've had me working, can you believe it? I thought the whole point of this job is to get paid for slacking off. Rather rude if you ask me.

You obviously just haven't fine tuned your art of skiving yet. You have to at least let the newness rub off your kit before you perfect the art of ' a piece of paper and a puzzled look' , making people think you're working ;) . At least get some time in before complaining, I've got socks that have done more time than you :D

Looked at mine outside from the bedroom window and thought " she does look good from this angle, just wish she wasn't broken"

Drove her to hospital Thursday to get my cast changed, got a festive design with red/green stripe :D

Just now, we are off to town to do some shopping... However, wife suggested we take her car instead of George!!

Told her to wash her mouth out  I got into her car when I got out of hospital after my accident, what a feckin mare THAT was!

Anyway, it was snowing earlier and it's bloomin' freezing out, so I rather think a real car is par for the course today :p

Realised I've lost another centre cap, now both on the right side are missing. Don't even know how they'd fall out without some encouragement. Need to sort out the rust on the leading edge of the bonnet too. D:

I can skive off a lot of things by just cutting around on a bike, some reason no one ever stops a guy on a bike. But they keep sending us overseas to live under tarp and sweat like a paedophile in mothercare. Although I suppose that is better than being sent Falklands for 4 months next year. :'(

This machine never fails me, after another long time of being parked up (due to working away) in the open outside the house, I put the battery on turn the key and she started in nano seconds. I love this car. Waited a few moments and the suspension comes up... There is a RR god and I pray it is good. My P38 has never let me down. It has the odd quirk but man it has been a great car.

Outer cv joint. I think it's chucked one of its balls. Got a new one sitting in the table waiting for fitment. Should be done Monday.

Well done that man get it fixed before the snow arrives, if you run into trouble am happy to lend a hand but busy all next week, week after not so

It took me to the west country and back no probs did have to reset the eas tho....have changed the water pump since then found a loose hose clamp my fault not the cars but other than that I'm hoping iv pretty much got it sorted.
Wow, nothing like tempting the Gods. Good luck on your trips.

Thanks for the offer. Managed to persuade my eldest son to do it for me in the garage he works at. I will watch and make sure he does it properly though. Cheeky wink James

Don't even know how they'd fall out without some encouragement. @Bix Stopped mine 'falling out by making sure everyone knows she's being video'd at all times outside the house and 'there is video recording 24/7 of this vehicle' stickers on windows. I was fed up replacing them, as they're the black ovals they're a little bit more expensive than the green ovals.
