:violent: nobody in their right mind would trust me with my own gun but I do go clay pigeon shooting .... No dogs until I retire lets just prey the old girl is still going ... (Not the bread knife....)

They let me play with bang sticks, so that shows anyone can have one. :D Although have to admit I wouldnt put a bang stick holder in my vroom vroom. Especially if I didn't have one

Hmmm... Mines next month... and there is a leak from the self levelling shock.
It looks like it will a right bastid to remove :(

I dunno much about that thing. Did the SD1 have the same one? There is a pace that does a refurb, but they are becoming like very rare.

I have seen that some bits are available... but only the boot and ball joint parts.
I will have to have a further look.. unless anyone here knows of a supplier.

or, look for a second hand part.

Fitted 3 new hubs (wheel bearings). 4 new terrafirma shocks (+2in) replaced 2 front mud shields and repaired 2 rear mud shield brackets. Replaced rhr height sensor. Drained and refilled diffs. Replaced O rings on engine cooler pipes. Renewed gearbox cooler pipe ( had one made up at the hydraulic pipe place I use also had spare made up for other side and easy to fit .These pipes are steel lined not canvas lined like the originals. I have also had two original ones go so will not trust britpart ones.)
Today I will start on replacing the front radius arm bushes and then fit a bull bar and hopefully start getting ready for next trip to exotic places (Morocco looks inviting for winter.

Plus 2" on the length of the shocks? That should knacker the height sensors the first time you reach full articulation or jack it under the chassis.

Have fun putting the nut back on the radial arm I found a forklift helps and a trim of the bush ;)

I put £40s worth of diesel in the P38 today and took it for a run , 165 miles to a mates just to see what its like on juice........28.1 mpg , I'm pleased with that, all I have to do is renew the glow plugs, and find out why the central locking doesnt work on the drivers door with the plip but locks ok with the key

Some people like to learn the hard way Keith. After all the times it's been mentioned you would think they would take notice. Anyway that's life. :););)

I spent a small fortune, new Brembo brakes, new wheel bearings, track rod ends, two tyres etc etc. best part of £ 1600 and I think I need a new light control module as I keep getting messages that my bulbs are blown when they aren't.

Money pit 😫

Still love it though 😈

Passed my first MOT with the P38. Flew through no advisories. Such a pleasure after years of pre-MoT welding with Classic RRs and Discoveries. Well pleased.:D

Started fitting fogs .... Removed all the water out of the rear light cluster ... Found slow puncture in tyre ... Looked at door pillars ..yup still there !

Made very long list of stuff to do....

Yesterday ! i washed Gym (series 2 1971)

Today I sold my Series 2:-( but the funds will go into getting the SRS light out by the purchase & fitting of a new seat air bag :) every cloud ay !!!

After lunch i washed, polished, cleaned inside & preped & re leather painted the cream sections of the P38's steering wheel.

(how do you get photo quality reduced so i can get pic up on the site, really frustrating.) ?

If it's a P38, the seat airbags are useless and I can give you a MOD that will fool the SRS ECU into thinking the airbag is present.:)
