Just started mine after it stood for 3 weeks, no problem. 135AH 1000CCA battery wins every time.

My Halfords is still spinning strong ,I still say its easyer to exchange if need be you can have the biggest lead battery in the world when its time has come thats it, Its life is over ps no alternator fault anymore, she sure knows when shes got knackerd battery :) I can understand if you got all electrical mod cons running but a fm radio heaters only and a good heathy 12 volt battery will suffice a good start in the morning

Inspected pollen filters again, removed the build up of leaves checked oil water shut the bonnet inspection over brrr its cold .

Mine is... 666 RRR ... (Devils Rang RoveR) best I could do with my ££, but I have had some funny reactions with it as I drive along... one guy actually crossed himself!!

Had new heated screen fitted..
The old 1 didn't work in a few places and suddenly developed a large crack! ;)
While they had it out I replaced that irritating piece of foam that had perished between wipers for a new genuine 1, part No. BTR9548 if anyone needs to do there's...£5.82 + vat....another 2 jobs done!! going to celebrate with a few tins and plan the next job :D

I've never used it ?? I used tin foil once on an old banger :)

I wish people who dont know what the **** they talk about..... shut up, I for one would rather hear from people who know what they are talking about and not make a guess at it.. not aimed at anyone here (sorry to rant)

You're showing your age. That stuff only worked back in the days when the element was stuck onto the glass. For years now the element has been built into the glass as it's made. To repair one of these you'd have to drill the glass.

Oi Dopey, the bloke who crossed himself, are you sure it was the reg - he didn't catch a glimpse of the driver by any chance?

I still remember you from our Range Rover meet twiddly-umpty ago.

Well today the rangie has developed yet another issue that it would like to sort out! Great....

Been coming up with HDC inactive for a split second on start up for a while now. N now the last couple of days it's really slow cranking over

Spose I best put my hand in my pocket....again, before it leaves me stranded somewhere

I had this Deasy this week before the gearbox went, I believe it is caused by poor current from the battery. Try trickle charging it over night (don't leave it connected obviously)

No spring chicken :p:D
when I checked mine with the multi Meter earlier I could feel the element and also found all the breaks as the voltage dropped,so I'm guessing it can be repaired? Just found some of that circuit repair so I will give it a go and report back :D

Starts perfectly after you have been for a drive and given it abit of a charge.

Don't blame you, I'd give it a try as well, and if it accidentally broke whilst I was trying . . . . .

Yer same as mine deasy, I think it is just extra strain put on the battery- heater, heated seats, glow plugs all needed a lot more in the cold, which spooks a sensor when starting up. When I drove mine for half hour, then parked up and started again- I had no problem.

Me ugly.... you MUST have the wrong bloke :D
