Bugrit

Bumped up the curb to get on my drive...

BEEP TC failure

P1592 rough road signal implausible

Cleared the code, drive off, no further errors. Bump up the curb again. No BEEP.

I don't expect it was a one off! We shall see! That was the only error, no abs problems

It is behind the glove box on our scrapper which is a left hand drive. I've never looked on our rhd's.

Up behind the glovebox.
I wonder if this is related to water getting in the LH heater and getting sprayed about with the fan?? :(

That is a possibility.

After fitting this into @RisforRacingnotReverse there wasn't a drop afterwards
I did one for the drivers side also. Not so pretty as it has to allow for the wiper arm swing:(

Can i suggest you obtain a copy of RAVE the workshop manual for the P38. Study it that would help you a lot. Also Lrcat the Russian parts manual.
Thanks Wammers. I have read this " RAVE " word being mentioned alot on her and wondered what it was. Not a booze up in a field then?? LOL. Where is the best place to buy one?? is it Cd disc or hard copy old skool style??
I did buy a Hawkeye scanner last month from Bearmach for £240 on offer but i find it rather tedious to use and crap.

Cheers

There are CDs of RAVE on E bay for little money. In my opinion Hawkeye is not very good. But I suppose has it's uses. Do a Google search for Lrcat and download it for part numbers Etc.

Even though my P38 is sick at the moment my new set of RED sillicoon intercooler hoses and SS clamps arrived today so i fitted them. They look great albeit they have not cured the problem. LOL. But it made me feel better looking at them in the engine bay all nice and shiney. £90 off ebay from Derbyshire hose company including 6 new SS clamps. Owner Gareth is a nice chap to talk to on the phone and these hoses are available in a wide colour range and take about 2 weeks to arrive from date of order and payment being made.

My new CATALYST pipe arrived too but that has been put in the boot with other items which i am now leaving for the garage to fit for me when they collect it on the 18th November to investigate and hopefully repair this rough running issue i have and now the Turbo making horrible noises so Midland Turbo's ( Nathan ) are helping me there too via the garage who use them all the time.
Too cold outside now for me to be grovelling around and im tired of it all now.
Thanks to everyone for all your help and assistance which is appreciated a lot as a newby here. I will report back as and when the verdict is in.

Regards, Brendan

There's a link somewhere in the Technical Section to download it. Think @wazzrjnr has a link to his Dropbox account somewhere with lots of versions.

Car insurance renewal time. Just got renewal quote through and gone up from£300 to £350, Why?:eek: Any way General Accident have quoted me £275 with better coverage. So it looks as though I may be swapping unless anyone got any bad reports about them

Its always best to shop around these days. I use Admiral and have been with them for many years with our daily driver cars. My P38 though is insured via Hagerty insurance on my classics policy with an agreed value.

Also everyone's insurance premium will be different dependant on your age, where you live and your driving record.

These past few weeks I had been noticing a very slight tap from one of the followers...
Being the fact i'm skint as shyte, I decided to instead of stripping it down...

Adding some of this.... ;)

Basing the premise on the fact their Stop slip and PAS additive work really rather well, why wouldn't this stuff help?

So I scooped it out and put it in the old bus, and it is really thick and sticky as shyte..

I did drain some Oil out obvs.,

The new stuff has made the oil quite tacky.

After adding the stuff I took her out and gave it a proper good run, and the verdict after 30mi is............

She is defo quieter.. :)

Not that I usually believe what these people say i'll be giving it a few days to work...

Signs are positive!
