Sleet...as in "blink and you've missed it" sleet? I followed a couple of gritters a couple of of nights ago and it didn't even drop below 2°C! They must've been after the overtime bonus too! That was on the Yorkshire Wolds. I remembered the days when we used to have PROPER, cold and long winters in this country and not that long ago really.Henry is somewhat further north.
I think they have gritted the roads twice this winter and I think that was because they wanted the overtime more than anything else. We've had a few frosty mornings and that is it. Once saw some sleet.
