Changed a blend motor Drivers side ,was about to change passenger side when I noticed a small leak in nearside fan area and decided to pull dash out refurb heater unit and anything else I find whilst I am in there. Oh what fun

Depending on which style of tv unit it is you can change part of the internals to convert to freeview, gooooogle PTV-digital interface board other than that its a second hand hybrid tv unit out of an X5.Drove the car to work and back for the first time in about 6 weeks. Popped into local Asda on the way home and picked up a vodafone PAYG sim card and a couple of rechargeable batteries for the in car phone. Popped it all in and hey presto! Car phone now working to complete the set of in car entertainment. With the exception of telly of course! Anyone know how to install freeview telly on the in car telly box in a 2002 L322?
Mine will do the same, it just comes on because it wants to most of the time, turn the ignition off and start it up again and it won't come on for a few monthsHad to go across town today, Little bit chilly outside but as always with a good battery started first crank.
As said a little chilly so no wonder the book icon came on...however the heater did seem to work fine.

I agree. However in this case battery is good and I know that the blend motors do need a looking at. I just found a setting where it works and have just left it at that for the past 6 years as I only use the beast for 8-10 weeks a year, yes in cold weather but while the heater works I cant be bothered buggering about with the blend motors and the expense involved and time off the road. Also next year or late this year on my next trip home is new rear air bags and compressor. I think these are more important to me than Heat at this time.most of the time I think its to do with the battery, if its not got the full 14.2v things will show up

Saga continues, found some small vac leaks yesterday, ran like a bag of nails until the trims settled but settled at 5% Bank 2 and 13% Bank 1 so still some work to do.
Made a smoker today and found another leak somewhere near the egr but couldn't see exactly where.
Found universal CATS for about 150 quid each and our fab shop says they can weld them in.
Anyone got a cheap runaround for sale? Methinks it's going to be a while before I get this sorted!
Probably, but I need something now for a couple of hundred quid. Spending 150 quid a week on a hire car isn't going to last long!I suspect they'll be a deluge of old cheap motors from London in the next few months.
Get the EKA and immobiliser turned off with Nanocom. It doesn't rain but it pours. Yesterday we went out to start the wife's P38 to find a completely dead battery, went to jump and got key code lockout... good time to find the code we got for it isn't the right EKA.
Then today while in town, wife went to get out of mine and got a lot flapping but no opening. Turns out the internal cable has snapped. So currently two P38s out of action... I kinda want to "borrow" her door parts, but I cba to do the job twice. I can hardly be arsed to do it once. Oh well, one on order... now need to work out how to get her EKA considering it can't be moved.
Such fun.
Probably would've been easier while it was still working. I blame it on the fact she has a V8. Ah well.Get the EKA and immobiliser turned off with Nanocom.
