Changed engine oil and filter, ATF and filter, xfer box oil, fuel filter. ATF looked OK, light brown colour but there seemed to be bugger all in it. Took about a litre out and put six back in. Bit worrying, that.
 
I put the battery on charge at 13:30 yesterday, still not fully charged lol I will take it off charge tomorrow, even if its not fully charged, it's a smart charger so no harm just leaving it on
 
Changed one of the oil cooler pipes. Wasn't quite prepared for the amount of oil that comes out but still caught most of it! No longer 'marking her territory' for the first time in a couple of years. Spent a bit of time Waxoyling seams and vulnerable bits as well as cleaning out the leaves from the bottom of the A post. Always loved Waxoyl and I actually find it quite pleasant to touch..... (sounds like a fetish thing.)

A 120AH battery on a 4 amp smart charger might take a couple of days to fully charge if it was very low.

Yea its a big arse battery, I will give it till tomorrow then it should be ok by then, short journeys and going into hospital and not allowed to drive takes its toll
 
I know a lot of blokes who did that around London. They had around 10 cars using one plate. One lot of tax, insurance, mot, congestion charge. Playing the A PR system against it self.

finished putting the dash back together, repairing broken tabs, putting screws and bolts in ALL the holes. heating working a treat but no horn. Steering wheel off again tomorrow.All good sport
 
Well back on the stands again for the next 9 months. I hate parking the beast up as miss driving it but needs must to fund a P38

You always somehow manage with the battery though in abominal weathers, what’s the secret?
Just luck I suppose, when I leave I disconnect it and when I reconnect I have a jump assist pack as there is never quite enough herbs in it to turn over. Sometimes I have to enter the EKA and sometimes not. I think that depends on how flat the main battery is. I then just give it a really good run to heat everything through and then once its charged its good. But it is a very good battery built for Russian winter although the terminals are the wrong way round so I have had to remove the battery box to fit it so the leads reach.
 
Bix - rescuer of BT repairmen stuck in the mud up to the axles, filthy, proud of himself and Sandy the P38, made 20 quid and set a man away to work.
Me - sat in the front seat on the wrong side of the road with a door handle that doesn't work. I watched.
