Cleared the crap out of the boot and got tools together. Had to go and buy yet another Stanley knife as I can't find any of the dozens I already own. After this mug of tea I'm gonna cut a hole in my boot.
Cutting the hole is the way to go, the amount of times now I would have had to drop the tank don't bear thinking about

No way was I dropping the tank on my own on the driveway. Hole cut, bit of a clean, liberally soaked in Plusgas. I'll give it a while to soak.

I used to work for Keyline, left all my knifes at home each time, almost weekly had another knife, so I have about 40 knocking about in the hose and shed... but can I find one when I need it???

Only had to do mine once so far. It isn't heavy when empty. Not a hard job. Hardest part os draining it!

You had a VDO pump right?
Dopeys kept going coz he kept buying cheap pumps. They don’t last 6 months usually. Something missing from OE design on them too.

Yeah, going to leave it unzipped for a week. Still haven't decided how I'm going to seal it yet. Seems dumb to weld it if they go regularly.
I got some gutter seal, it's a strip with one side that's sticky did a good job sealing it, if I have to get in again just use a sharp knife
