To be honest, I have no idea. I've been told the Terra's are better, so I decided to take a punt and give them a crack. I'll let people know how I get on if I can get a set, read on one webby Terra are on worldwide backorder with dampers so they are hard to get hold of. Supplier closed for the weekend now, so will find out on Monday if they can get them.

Dogs bollox. Certainly better than the expensive Konis I put on my classic way back, mind you I did some mad things with that motor, 'twas all over the shop. Pic of me 38's Terra in perfect harmony wiv Arnott Gen 2....

Awesome sauce. The fact they are silver appeals to the inner chav in me. Can't wait to get them now. :D

Checked the crank sensor. Removed the cover, which is in a swine of a place, to find the 2 nuts holding the sensor in place were finger tight. Cleaned the end and refitted. Runs a dream again now. Must of been just loose enough to give a dodgy signal.

This weekend I fitted chrome rings to my instruments, plus restored my very knackered steering wheel.

I also took the console mostly to bits and did a thorough clean of the associated components.

I also swapped the heater matrix O rings. Hateful task. Next time I'd just suck it up and take the dash out.

Is that the apprentice butler:D.

Retrimmed headlining and pillars in cream look suede material. Things I've learnt doing this (and following the guide found on here).

1) If you attempt this job, don't expect for one second for it to turn out perfectly.
2) Now I know why vehicle trimmers charge a lot of money!

Overall it looks ok but I need to retrim a couple of the pillars due to creases, etc. Would I do it again knowing what was involved? Probably not :)

Well we removed the engine as it had major problems, and started fitting a replacement, but will have to be finished tomorrow..

The engine has over heated and no 1 piston has left some of the alloy in the bore, the head has warped a touch, the crank is good though, the turbo is badly worn..

Is this d engine worth anything for spares or repair or do I scrap it , obviously the steering pump, injectors and pump are worth selling just wondered about the rest...

Fukcing thing! Had the steering rack replaced last week at the cost of £930 inc vat

Then it's developed a rumble since :(
Had the tracking checked but that's fine :(

Took it back to the garage that did the rack, and told them to fix it. :( turns out to be a collapsed wheel bearing so needs hub now grrrrrrr

Another £200. Great

Well it's going to have to start behaving soon as the missis is on my back to get rid now!

On a positive note, she took it to Hereford and back at the weekend (220 mile round trip) and averaged equivilant 36mpg! On LPG

WOW - is that the petrol equivalent or what it actually acheived...best I have done on a run is 23.7mpg

Used it to drive to the "local" hospital to visit my two nephews wives, both in the same hospital at the same time. One has just given birth to their first child, a healthy bouncing baby boy. The other...to offer inadequate support on their miscarriage (8 weeks).

Sometimes Range & Land Rover issues pail to insignificance.
