Fitted a Double S cat back stainless exhaust system after cutting the remains of the old system off with an angle grinder.
Impressed with the fit and overall quality, the pipe from the centre box back is larger diameter than OEM, a massive 66mm:eek: The two rear boxes are much neater than the dustbin sized OEM units. It's very quiet and maybe I'm imagining it but the turbo seems to get going at lower revs.
A 500 kilometre trip coming up on Saturday to the south of France and if the bloody thing is still going, a 500Km return the following week:rolleyes:

No doubt the slightly larger bore and the fact it isn't caked in years of poo allow the gases to flow better allowing the turbo to spool up a bit quicker and not fight a back pressure!

Got a list of parts that need replacing.

Front drag link, front radius arm bushes, front dampers (but doing all four).

So that should be fun. But the boss (as in my actual boss who pays my wages) has started talking about another van, so I'll be getting one of the older ones to scoot around in. But that needs 4 tyres, front wishbones, brakes all round, clutch and an oil leak (I think gearbox) sorting first.

MOT Retest....Passed :D:D

Think this was my most expensive MOT to date:

2 Rear Tyres - £230
ABS Short Harness to sort out recurring ABS issue - £30.02
ABS ECU as Harness Repair didn't sort it - £257.65
2 Front Tyres - £250
MOT Test - £50
Retest - £25

Ho Hum, years ticket now atleast!

Took it to get the tracking done at 0930 this morning. Said they'd start it at 1000, called at 1230 and they were just doing final adjustments, still not heard anything as of now. How bloody hard is it to do the tracking on a P38??
