Gearstick stuck in middle  was a clanking so gave it good thrashing, something moved, now moves fine.

Any idea what moved/fell off?
Didn’t sound like it fixed itself but it does work now

PS mikieman google how to speak Sheffield and you will find out why international translator don't work
That will do him no good at all, he's a Yank, :D:D:D,sorry:oops:. One once asked me if I spoke English and he was confused when I informed him we invented the language. :D:D.one of my neighbours in the Canaries is from Sheffield he thinks that if you shout as loud as possible then the locals will understand, eventually. :)

I bought it. 2000 P38 2.5 DSE. For the massive outlay of 460 quid I thought I'd take a punt on a motor I've wanted since I was a kid. Needs the airbags replacing and a bloody good clean. Apart from that there doesn't seem to be a hell of a lot wrong with it.

Looks nice. Clear lights, nice alloys (comet?), window deflectors, swan neck.
What year is it?

Welcome to the clan :)

Not sure if it is related but there was a brass pin that used to bend/snap that was upgraded to steel later on.
