Just returned from a weeks caravanning in Cornwall , 480 miles towing a near two ton caravan and associated equipment and three passengers, I avg 14.2 mpg towing (4.6 THOR) which i was quite happy with considering some of the inclines , most of the route was A27, a31,a35 a30 so not the quickest, I am pleased to report that P38 never missed a beat, everything behaved as it should, the temp gauge stayed smack bang in the middle even on the some of the steeper and longer inclines ( I had flushed the coolant system several times as part of a pre trip service) I used sports mode on the hills which seemed to help, all in all I was very pleased with the way my 19 year old P38 performed

Gotta do the front now!!

@Henry_b

I know you got long legs but that’s brings a whole new meaning to backseat driving:D

J

ha yep!

The P38 is one of the few cars I can drive comfortably ;)

seat goes far enough back to allow me to drive with straight legs.

The D2 doesn't lol ;)

Gotta get this Rangie going!

Eventually lifted the bonnet to find the source of the diesel leak, one leak off pipe on number 4 injector cut back and steamed to seal but it looks like its the injector it's self, bugger.:oops:
Hard luck, had that on my project car, luckily the one from my scrapper did the job even though it's the earlier one.:D

Apart from stretch bolts, I have never had a problem reusing bolts. I think the advice about new bolts is all about selling more bolts.
I tend to replace bolts as invariably the heads start to corrode and round off.. or they are so rusted I end up having to cut them off :rolleyes::(

Used it to go and get a new mouth to feed. Was happily surprised the lil guy pretty much slept the whole way home. Only to spend 10 minutes running around the garden before dropped his bodyweight in turns on the middle on the lounge floor.

Sandy ran without a hitch.

Yep those turns from the back end can be very dangerously slippery and will get the legs spinning :eek::D:D:D

Autocorrect is killing me. And he is a mischievous little bugger, but he'll learn the ropes.

Border Collie?

Aye, the wife wanted something to make her feel safe while I am away with work and I wanted something that's be OK with going on runs with. Maybe teach a few tricks.
