Ah I see. It was only about a mile long but it took the old bill 5 hours to talk the jumper down off the bridge.
 
Ordered a CV boot kit for the front, now all I need is a 450nm torque wrench.
For that sort of torque setting, go where you think it is, then go a lot harder on top. I still get surprised how much effort I have to put in on our big bastard torque wrenches. Doing it by feel, I'd prefer to dead lift the breaker bar, less likely to break your teeth that way.
 
Transfer box rear seal all done and reassembled. Everything else back on and new fluids. Started up, and a horrible noise. Think I must have stressed the water pump / viscous at some stage, probably getting the gearbox back in when I was benching the engine and gearbox trying to get it to line up. PITA.
 
You may, that looks a good one for fair price.
I still have the laser one from when you showed me how to do it properly, with coppaslip so it will come off next time. Nearly lost my job over that, only intended to change belt :oops:
