Finished fitting the three remaining shock absorbers. Just got the job done before the heavens opened. Had to do it outside because the garage is full of a stripped down Honda rotovator.

The previous owner sent me the 2nd key today, which was nice ;)

one on the left came with that keyring lol :D

That's good news, I've seen many a thread about alarm/immobiliser turned out to be tailgate switch playing up. My money is on you've got it

Still on the search to cure the intermittant noise from underneath. A bit like something stuck in a brake disk but not as squeally more grindy, road speed related, when it happens it will do it out of gear even.
Anyway, stripped the H'brake today, though I had already backed off the adjuster by a notch. I was hoping to find a busted return spring or something, what I did find was that the adjuster locating bolts were only just nipped up, all grease was dried and sticky. Everything removed, cleaned and regreased, adjusted and road tested and the fecking noise is still there. Very gently applied a bit of pressure on the h'brake while in motion, no difference to the noise.
Think I shall have to strip the brakes and see if I can find anything wrong.

Diff bearing?

Reached underneath, realised there was oil from the handbrake drum and swore a bit. Another job I have no time for.

There must be someone you trust ? (Not me if I were you:rolleyes:)
I haven't found a thread with all the list but know you've redone most of it - you can't be far off now ;)
Do classics have a DMF?
No DMF thank feck, but they do have a VCU which I found was seized while faffing about in the hunt. So replaced that, hopefully in the nick of time.

Oh what fun these old girls give us. :D:D:D

You said the vehicle was better for it, but not the grind? I've been watching as I'm trying to narrow same sort of thing on my P38. Currently been lying on my back greasing my nipples (zerx). I will spare you the shaft puns. Next step is Gbox/Tbox fluid change and more grease. Front breather pipe on diff needs attention, oil was old but in decent condition

Well I have kept my job, they told the contractor they wont get another driver from us if they dont want me, so no truck or driver, I also told the contractor if I get the sack from my job (not the contractor) I will be getting a witness from Honda so say I did nothing wrong and go to tribunal, and they said they want to keep me as their driver (I wonder why that is?) anyway put the cra* up them lol
