Swore at it again as the fuel gauge stopped working, Full tank but showing empty with light on
Mine has been like that for the past 5 years as I am too tight to bother with the expense of fixing it. But I suppose if I had a workshop i'd give it a go.

I havn't got a scooby doo what your talking about, looks like your well on top of it though so that's OK.
As I said to the doris yesterday, if it needs a spanner or hammer I can fix it, anything with electronic bits on it is serviced by fairies as far as I know. :D:D but thats because I'm an old farty.
Is it something I can weld, or fill with oil..?

Done nothing today, just watch it rain..a lot. Then Mrs Bagshot said we had to put up a tree in the house for some reason.? What's all that about, can't she see I've got spannering to do...

Finally gave up on the problems I have been having with the glowplug system, took it into my local garage, a good lad and he runs a classic himself.
Took him a couple of hours of faffing about, he did get the new timer/relay working though he wasn't sure how !:rolleyes:
The warning light on the dash does not come on now, I said not to worry, I can count up to 10 alright.
Charged me €30 so I gave him an extra 10 for his kids for Christmas. Used it tonight, starts sweet as a nut. :D:D

Think the old girl is breathing her last. Was loading some things into the boot when I started hearing a horn going off. At first I assumed it was someone else until I clocked that it was my horn. Had to pull the relay because I kept clicking away to itself. I assume it is probably the BeCM that is starting to fail. Which is a nightmare I really didn't need at Christmas.

Why go for the most complicated bit first? The rotary coupler mah have failed, there may be damp in the connectors, the fuse box may be failing etc etc.

Only because so far this year, if there are two options she has been the more expensive one. I'd have assumed if the rotary coupler had failed I'd get an SRS fault too? I'll have a proper look when the weather improves a little, I hate working in the rain.

Took it for its mot, and it passed with a few advisory's front indicator bulbs a bit white a bit of play in one of the front anti roll bar drop links only a year old and hardly any milage and a bit of rust on rear brake lines so time to drop tank and replace the lot
