Had a play with some blend motors, as you do :)

I had a set come with the car, thought I'd have a look inside them to see what's there.

A small motor with an initial worm drive through a very large reduction gear chain to the keyed output shaft.

A potentiometer geared to the output shaft sends an analogue voltage to the HEVAC controller which is proportional to the flap position. The two gears have 'timing marks' in the form of arrows so that the relationship between the flap position and the voltage feedback is maintained.

Not a lot to go wrong in there.

Then why do they always fail I wonder. o_O

Drove her, at an interesting speed, to the vet first thing this morning as my dog was fading fast. Dog got bloods taken, then taken home to wait for results. Had a meeting, most of which I don't remember, as awaiting blood results. Got the phone call just as meeting finished. Drove, again at interesting speed, to the vet. Dog injected several times, anti-biotics and other meds prescribed for her. She had perked up a little bit since AM but she has now faded again.
Just pleased that when really needed, the Golden Girl started first time.

Does this mean you don't need it anymore:D:D:D will it fit a doozle.

Yep it will fit a doozle the centre box is the same but my advice would be to cut your own centre box out and replace with a cherry bomb keeping both end pipe connectors.
When fitted the straight pipe is not an exact fit as in once iv attached the rear pipe up the from is inches out of line i have to force it over the lign it up. It works ok but after a short while the stress on the joint is causing it to leak.

Today I stroked my nice shiny new torque converter that arrived!! That’s about it.... stroked it... put it away.... wow that pretty much sums up my love life Aswell....

Fitted a pair of new batteries from Tayna, Enduroline 85amp x 680 cca x 4 year guarantee, hoping they are as good as advertised. Seem well put together. Just an old style lead acid lump.

Replaced my glow plugs. #1 appeared to have cracked in 2 inside as the top just pulled out with my fingertips. Seems to be the cause of the "intermittent fault" logged. New Beru plugs are the dog's danglies. Well worth the money.

Whats the part number for the beru plug grrrrrr I have searched endlessly and get different ones from different sites cia
