Just having a look at Beru glow plugs for the P38 on their site. 3 versions listed. One is "after-glow capable". Well, how would that work if the car isn't setup to supply power after the car has started? Am I missing something? http://beru.federalmogul.com/en-gb/e-catalogue/vehicle

Of the 2 Beru dealers in the UK, Eurocarparts is supposed to be one of them but there's nothing on their site when I search! Land Rover part number is STC3103.

The part number for the Eurocarparts website is 438110135 (RR P38A, M51 engine). £16.49 each before the discount code is applied. If you haven't got a discount code, get one! With discount they're £66 the set.

Today, I just gave it a good clean inside, hope for a warm weekend might wax it for winter protection, what have you been up to?
After having the beast parked up again just in the car park for 10 months due to work approached and as usual down on the suspension looking sad but the tyres not too bad. Connected the battery and turned the key.... First time as always such a great vehicle. Suspension went up and worked ok blew tyres up and she rolled beautifully as always. However this trip I have brought a whole new head gasket set and stretch bolts to be fitted after a bad winter a few years ago and she deserves a treat. Will also give the full oil treatment and bugger me new winter Bridgestone tyres on order from Moscow.
Does anybody recommend axel stands for long standing?

Had a play with some blend motors, as you do :)

I had a set come with the car, thought I'd have a look inside them to see what's there.

A small motor with an initial worm drive through a very large reduction gear chain to the keyed output shaft.

A potentiometer geared to the output shaft sends an analogue voltage to the HEVAC controller which is proportional to the flap position. The two gears have 'timing marks' in the form of arrows so that the relationship between the flap position and the voltage feedback is maintained.

Not a lot to go wrong in there.
