I know the feeling well. I have a lock up with my XK8 hogging all the room, but even empty there's no room for George :(

I use one of those LED head lamps with the elastic. Excellent for fannying about in the dark. But too damn cold just now, go home have dinner and a beer ;)

I nearly bought one of those last year but fell in love with a Volvo C70 soft top instead. I admit to the odd cheating look at the jag though :D

We hired one of these on holiday on one of the Canaries. Loved it! What a machine and damn fine splendid on fuel too. Would have one if I had more lock ups :D

I've got a tow bar on her and got an engine strut waiting to go on. Which will stiffen up the handling a little and she should be even more fun than she is now :)

Love the Jags. I've got the 4.0 Jaguar S-type. It is absolutely gorgeous to drive. However, the rear subframe rusted right through and fell apart. I currently have it and a donor vehicle but I've a lot on my plate at the moment so until I can swap part over the Rangie is the only working vehicle. Eeeeek!

I can get you one with a years test for 1200 quid or slightly less. Mate was using it as a wedding car, but now got a couple of Rolls Royce. Another mate had one in England somewhere needing a clutch. Was clean looking too. Offered it me for 400 quid, but by the time I went down with a trailer...... Not worth my while unfortunately. I'll see if it's still about if you like?

Thanks. I got a donor vehicle with six month ticket and a galvanised subframe for £500. Problem is it is only a 3 litre and the axle is different. Plus I have the active suspension. It'll be fixed before the New Year! Hopefully ... Maybe!

After that I'll be selling a lovely 3 litre. Just don't jump up and down in the back!

Replaced my rad, it was leaking from the little return pipe off the top the goes back to the expansion bottle. Simple job no point trying to bodge it took me longer to free off one of those pesky securing bolts one came out no problem the other well what can I say.

Common failure to the extent some companies make an all aluminium rad But not locally or in my budget, I did swop out the top plastic T piece another common failure point I did in the past upgrade it to an aluminium one which iv just refitted you can see why.

Slander, for many years my old girl was my only vehicle, is a lot more reliable than the dumb Merc I got. Shoulda got the Jag I was looking at. :/

Depends which Merc you got. Is it a true Merc or a Chrysler/Daimler AG? I had a gorgeous 1995 Merc E200 (W124), which never let me down. Only traded her for a Disco because the dog was struggling to get in the back seat.
