That's a bummer with the insurance.:(

It is im saying that like with a last total loss i had that happend ended up with a payout of 380 quid on a mondeo st200 saloon (the limited to 300 ones) 8 years old (2008) 30 somthing k on the clock (they still fetch 2k) but that was to end policy after that total loss. Since il be putting van on (which is 500 to insure not 1500) mabye il not lose so much god knows away to make the dreaded call

Don't hesitate to dispute their first offer and threaten county court or arbitration if they don't agree a sensible offer.

What would be an estimate/fair value for mine 152k but will go to previous mot of 134ish. Dse auto as youve all seen pictured.

Without wanting to offend i would guess £1800-2000, based purely on my searches for a DSE over the last few months.
The bonus with a total burn out is they cannot truly establish the condition of the interior or paintwork, they will just go off book price based on mileage.

Id have said about 1500 myself. Some red still exists on it lol. New tyres with recipts and bills for engine and so on. Dont know weather a good or bad thing. Included pictures of it when it was all polished up send keys and logbook off tomorrow and they'll pick it up

Stick out for £2k.

Well i was going to post that i replaced the bulb in the HVAC and cigar lighter on the P38, cleaned the squished fly debris off the windscreen and cleaned the leather,, fiddled with the timing on the classic but that seems somewhat indulgent with stustrong's late night activities.

Ordered the bits to fix the P38, went for a Lemforder track rod in the end, hope it lasts longer than the last one.

Took it for a drive through east for a walk. Ended up axle deep in mud and water which was fun. Now discovered I have a mud flap missing!

Output seal and handbrake fixed on a 4.0. Propshaft back on (brand new nuts and bolts) and up to the last 2 nuts to torque up when they polish. Won't go on, won't come off. Effing ****part propshaft nuts & bolts. How can you cock up a bolt?! So, they'll have to be cut off, whole thing apart and replace again. The originals can go back on.

Incidentally, the ****part nuts are about a mill of so shorter making it that much more difficult to get the socket on it. For the record, go for genuine and save yourself a load of bother!

Started looking for another theres one the girlfriend is really keen on 1997 black with tints genuine roofbars and a bar. No spots or light guards (orange indicators so a clear light update will be needed) on eas 5spoke l322 wheels 18s at a guess 10months mot. Serviced with gearbox and filter done new battery and various suspension parts 110k all looks straight in pics and interior looks good. Seems a genuine sale may go see it. One thing puts me off though and its a v8 hse its up for 1800 so my sort of budget. I may well be back with a million and one questions yet folks

As they say.. once you go black you never go back.

Cant beat CC's And the V8 doesnt sound like a tractor !

Haha id have never chosen a red one. Dark blue green or black but gosh that red polished up well stuck out like a sore thumb but still smart imo. And i liked the sound of my tartttor haha diesel and 4x4 goes hand in hand my opinion some hate it it was good for me did 280miles yesterday and had 2/3rds of a tank left at 65ish quiet enough it clamed 28.9 on way down and on way home 27.2 on that trip and thats proberly not far off
