A very unusual dealer, they normally fight tooth & nail to avoid refunds.
I think this one knows I mean business because I have some good contacts in DVSA or whatever they're called this week. A refund will be cheaper for him rather than " a visit" from the local DVSA enforcement people about MoT test standards. Or Border Force if you know what I mean. :)

Had a bulb on the dash cluster fail on me, so pulled that out, changed the bulb.. same side is out. Great. Pulled it out again and swapped the lamp holders around and again, same side is out.

I’m assuming that the solder tracks on the PCB have failed and the only remedy is a replacement cluster?

From memory...the holders make contact with exposed parts of the track so clean them? Cotton bud dipped in contact cleaner and rubbing the area might do the trick.

I've done nothing with my car so far this week. I went int the garden on Saturday to feed the wild birds, fell over and fractured 3 ribs. Been in hospital ever since! Phoned the dealer I got the car from, he said take it back and he will refund my money. Deep joy.
When I had 3 ribs busted, about an inch from the spine at mid shoulder blade height, I couldn't drive or ride for nearly 4 months. Did discover that for me a couple of squares of decent dark chocolate and one paracetamol was nicer, more effective and less side effects than 2 paracetamol.

So it finally got through its Mot after the obligatory welding of the rear aches, now just contending with a duff battery so having a Yuasa HSB019 Silver 12V Car Battery fitted tomorrow as that is what's in it at the moment. Once removed I'll check the state of the old battery and see if its salvageable as a spare.

Get the new one fully charged up before you fit it. If you have an l322 or newer then you'll need to tell the computer a new battery is fitted

Waaaayyyy back, when Centurion was a rank, not a tank I #d 4 5 6 and 7 ribs, back and front. Stupid move, climbed on a sideboard to fix curtain, in Mess, went to edge of sideboard to jump off, sideboard tipped, I went with it. Cracked front of ribs of a heavy wooden arm of an armchair, whilst at same time sideboard came back up and caught the same ribs at the back. As I lay, winded, and unable to move, I knew I'd screwed up. Because we all know we get back up faster than we fell, in case anyone saw us.1🙈
One of the guys helped me to the BMH , where after an XRay, I was told yes you've made a mess there, you've got 8 #s, here's some Brufen. Straight back on duty the next day. I still get twinges from them to this day. BUT the good news is the rest of the injuries don't let me notice it for too long 🤣

In the unlikely event that it's a broken track, it would be repairable.

Had to sort my 06 4.2 RR out as it developed a leak from gearbox wiring sleeve so ordered parts Friday, rearranged jobs for today and got stuck in, new sleeve, new oil and sump, took about 3 hours but drives better now.
