That is looking for smoke basically not particulates. worth checking the air filter, somehow the one on the Transit had got wet and mouldy in the space of a few months.
Just remembered the term they use, it's "opacity" of the exhaust fumes.
My old XJ550 used to do that, about a thousand miles before the service schedule said it should be changed. Didn't feel any change in performance but economy went off a cliff, something like 40% drop. Hasn't @kermit_rr been complaining of poor economy?

Went to fit the new discs, pads and drop links this evening.. 2 hours later I’ve fitted the drop links only.

Seized piston in the OSF calliper. Didn’t even bother trying the other side. New calipers, bolts etc and some DOT 4 on the way.

I would ask when it’ll end, but I’m fully aware this is now my lifestyle.

Poor mpg since I've had it unless I'm 50-55 mph then it was getting above 30mpg.
I checked the air filter on the main turbo recently still looked good, i put it on in April this year.
When i first got the car it was doing about 22 mpg bit that's gone up a bit since some long drives 25-27 if sticking to 65-70 on motorways

Wouldn't grumble so much if i had a lead foot

Drove my P38 from Langley to Ferndown this evening. Unfortunately around Winchester, the HEVAC decided to go full cold, even though my AC has lost gas again !! Stopped & connected Nanocom, and aspirator showing 38degC !! Tried blowing into the fan in case of dust, to no avail. Blend servos working ok on Nano, but as expected it always returns control to HEVAC afterwards.

After setting defrost mode & turning heated screens off, the car warmed up. Then tried a few times to select Auto again, but still cold. Then I set it to 26deg & manual towards screen for a while. 10mins later back on auto mode I got warm air out of the lower vents.

Aspirator stayed at 38-40degC the entire journey, so it's gonna be upper panel out in the morning.

really need to do something about the icy cold coming out of the centre console rear vents :(

not sure where to start, any ideas? not sure if its the temperature dial thats broken, if i press the override button (under the TC button) then the rear vents start to blow warm. on another press, the vents stay warm and dont go back to icy cold :(

I'm confused
That button on my 08 switches the rear fan on or off, button needs to be lite up for rear heating to work.

I'm thinking the rest heater control.. or rear temp sensor, if thereI is one, is broke.

I put the fbh on to warm the cabin the other day(it was 3c in the morning) and it was just blowing cold out the rear vents

I never use "Auto" the changes are too annoying as they do not correspond to what my body feels.

Looks like off side front drive shaft oil seal leaking. Any recommendations from where to get a good one from
