Not sure the DPF would affect the emissions, I don't think they check for particulates. Someone may know for sure. Have you checked the state of the air filter, it was that that caused an emissions failure on my Transit.

its a little optical reader they shove up the tail pipe.. dunno how that works with 4 outlets
air filter was done in the summer.. oil a week or 2 ago
yes i've got diagnostics (JLR SDD) what shoudl i be looking for?

there havent been any codes to date.

That is looking for smoke basically not particulates. worth checking the air filter, somehow the one on the Transit had got wet and mouldy in the space of a few months.
Just remembered the term they use, it's "opacity" of the exhaust fumes.

Always take a good run on the way to the MOT to get it good and hot, hold it in a gear below top and give it plenty of revs to clear the system out.
Problem is they normally test 'at some point' in the day, but tomorrow I'm taking it in for them to test straight away so should be proper hot

Mine is always a while you wait appointment, I do a 30 to 50 kilometre run on the way there with a couple of hills.

accel. 1 - 2.33, 2 - 0.84, 3 - 0.81, 4 - 0.76, 5 - 0.77, 6 - 0.75 with mean value 0.75 and 0.01 drift

Lots….from mittens to taping up the cold vents, then reuse the tape to cover the hot vents during summerreally need to do something about the icy cold coming out of the centre console rear vents
