Hmmm, true. I was thinking maybe enough to hold it but not enough to soak through, but that's a fine line :(
It's not really noticeable unless looking for it.
It's the foam backing that rots and falls apart. Anything that you try to your will likely come apart again in short order.
I used some push pins, but they tend to come straight back out again but enough held in place

Rip the fecker out.
Just removed my liner, won't finish the job today as I'm being super careful. Nothing too hard to do...yet:rolleyes::D.

That'll be a no :)
"Nothing too hard" , is 'everything very hard' when only one arm works close to how it should, and neither work overhead. Also I have much more necessary work eating the cash at the moment: just done front wishbones, rear brakes, new exhaust, and a couple of little bits. Then bought turbo, rear discs, rear dust shields, handbrake cables and rear hub roses. Now waiting to get them fitted.
After that little lot, she can wait for replacing a headling that only has a small sag.
Apart from which, isn't that a P38? Which by default is bound to be easier than an L322. :(

Ahhh...yes, p38
I was about to post that 38's don't have wishbones then I read the rest of the post.
I've read that small staples can work and aren't particularly visible.

I think I can just about pay for staples :D I haven't kept a tab but after £2k ish in parts alone, then add labour, they're ptobably all the wallet will let me buy :(

Drawing pins worked well on my p38, you could always paint them first to match, mine are in a nice chesterfield sofa style pattern:D
When the roof sagged on my dad's old Rover 45, he got some fur trees and drilled small holes in the liner to slip them in. Worked a treat and spaced right to look quilted.

That's what I have done with one of mine, trim fasteners though not fur trees, the other one is done with drawing pins that have plastic caps that match quite well but don't hold as well as the trim fasteners.

so ether box out or engine but if one has gone best do them all and an engine up grade refresh with nice cam you know you want to:D
Yep, engine out is very easy for the V8 no fighting the trans and transferbox.

New Cam and followers and maybe some better heads, would be nice to have some performance ;)

Gutted i spent on a nice cam, only for the engine to die a short time later :(
