Tomorrow is drag out the dehumidifier and trundle him off for the brake work. Today is still recuperating from the chest infection while WFH. Got to go into the office tomorrow though to clear my locker for some work they are doing.
Yellow with red appears to be part of the window circuit. But between the window motor and the door outstation. If there is no continuity across it then you just need to splice in a repair across it.Got to try and sort the non functioning drivers door on my mates when we get more time.
We've established that the yellow with red trace has no voltage at the connector on the outstation but the same wire on the passenger front does. We've only got as far as finding a yellow with red trace on the front connector on the becm and that has no continuancy to the other end at the outstation.
So..a question for you if I may.
Is it the same cable or does this yellow/ red trace cable at the outstation not go to the becm.
Electrickery is not in my comfort zone

If it helps I did helpfully point out to Bix that the car might not have moved in weeks but there's still fresh oil drops underneath her

I took it for it's MOT and it passed several advisories (like oils leaks......) but the more serious ones like ball joints etc I will fix along with two rear tyres. Pretty pleased to be honest!!

Not a good idea to have new tyres on one axle and old on the other, it will knacker the VCU in time.I took it for it's MOT and it passed
The fronts are nearly new, seems a waste to ditch them?

Depends how worn they are. Put the fronts on the back and the new tyres on the front as in my experience the fronts wear quicker.
Cheers, I will get them to move them around. The chap seemed very knowledgeable about the P38 and had no issue when doing the MOT. I will get him to do the ball joints when he does the tyres.

Drove him to the garage for the brakes, loved every minute of the drive, but looking forward to feeling how he goes and stops afterwards too. Wafting gently in the motorway queues was so much better at altitude and auto box chill.
