+1 what’s can bus ???
"CAN Bus LED bulbs are LED bulbs which are made specifically for CAN Bus-equipped vehicles. These bulbs work with your vehicle's advanced computer system, so when your vehicle's computer reads them, they respond back correctly". They work on the P38, basically they are designed with a ballast resistor to draw the same current as a tungsten filament bulb:)

Another bit of crap German engineering, it should never have been applied to cars.

@Flossie the rev gauge as you say is easy to do. Don’t do it on the cold as the binnacle can crack quite easy and remember the wiring for the fuel flap switch.
You know there is a dimmer switch on the stalk?

The advantage is that it is easily scalable. The disadvantage is like any network, if there is only 1 path and that path breaks somewhere then everything downstream goes too, a bit like your okd fairy lights.
there are no advantages in a car IMO only disadvantages, a radial system is much better and critical systems should effectively be stand alone with just reporting to the central control.

I agree. Guess canbus is cheaper too - less wire.
