3.2 or 1/8” We usually put heatshrink or cable ties around the ends just get bit more life out of them. Cracks let air in when you turn engine off won’t notice until they are at the point you can see the fuel gauge getting hungry and the smell of diesel.
Bet Dutchess got spill on the MAP
At least it's orange.;):D:D

Wassa MAP?.
I'm still running behind with getting Duchess is the garage, bloody downpour we had has washed away all the sharp sand near the top of the sloped drive and made a right mess, lots of sunken blocks:mad:.
Sorted that out yesterday, working to late 'o' clock and it's raining again all day today. Not as much damage as the other day but it's suffering.:(

Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor, little square bit attached to the fuel filter housing.

You have a 200TDi, so not something you have to worry about (good ol mechanical engines were a gift). But is how they metre fuel depending on how much air is being thrown into the engine.

So are M51 injectors.
the old stuff would last a decade, stuff now lucky last 6 months.
If you can get decent stuff like Dopey got everyone will be after it. map pipe ^^^ is for as even that’s cracked stuff ain’t that old, no point that pipe being a spill at all is just the norm

Cannot remember how long my stuff has been on there now. Years. Certainly 5 years, possibly 8 years. Still looks good.

I've never thought about it until now, but how does the thor intake manifold work? does each 'banana' go to the respective cylinder or does the lower manifold muddle things up? Need to be sure which is which when I wire my new LPG system up!
Figured it out from a pic :) they muddle round because of the limited space

That’s the stuff from the Polish BMW guy? I’ve changed mine every year (and sometimes in between) even if no symptoms they are shot. I’ve not checked them now but if my map pipe is cracked can guarantee their gone again. When I got the vehicle they were odd bits one was a straw from a pop bottle!

Save me taking the manifold off, anyone know if petrol injectors are switched live or switched earth?
I know which wire goes from the Bosch ecu to each injector but don't know if that wire is - or + :(

think i've figured it out.. theres a common orange/brown on one side and different colours which go to the ecu. the common must come from a relay in the fuse box. I think!?

Same colour wire under the fuse box and same colour in Bosch connector labelled switched input. I think it's safe to say that's the live wire and it's a switched ground for the injectors

MAP is done won’t be changing that again. Spills are okay :confused: but getting no4 back on was nightmare had to undo the HP feed.
Responsiveness is back but still lacking power uphills :(
Doused Turbo wastegate and UJ In GT40 but snapped my circlip pliers  let it soak for now, got grease in the others. gonna have to check diff levels hope UJ is the rumble

What was the problem with changing the MAP? I seem to remember mine was easy.

Ok I'm stuck :( there's a black box that connects into the loom and I've no clue what it's for! No clue how to find out either. It's not a land rover part
