Changed the heater core O-rings the easy way, see in the how to for photos.

Now the car is drying after the sudden flood, sprung leak on a rough road a fair distance from home,
whole content of expansion tank minimum went into foot well, carpet is now orange/pink - lovely:cool:

Used it to test a batch of EAS cables and whilst at it tweaked the heights. Cleaned all the glass inside and out, fitted new wiper blades and unblocked a washer jet, cleaned the dash. Fitted a 50cm SMD5050 LED strip in place of the dim standard boot light.

Straight through the MOT this morning, no advisories... but they did let me go underneath and have a better look at the oil leak(s).

It's a record, washed it for the third time this year today, wife is off to Paris in it tomorrow. Checked tyre pressures and loaded enough gear to fit out a family  Truckers and farmers are blocking the roads on Thursday to protest against a new ECO:rolleyes:tax. He He they are also burning roadside speed cameras, at least 63 done so far.:clap2::clap2:

Had a look underneath to source an oil leak.gearbox oil cooler pipe as I suspected.
Another job on the list

No so much what did I do to the 4.6 Vogue today but over last month on and off.

1. Full service, all oils changes, filters, plugs, all checks required.

2. Full rustproofing, sill covers/arch liners off, chassis box sections too.

3. Two leaks possibly fixed..... pollen filter and tailgate.

4. Plenum foam replaced

5. Cracked rear lenses replaced, plus rear light bulb

6. Datatek EAS cure obtained, Nanocom evolution too

7. Replaced wheels centre caps

Found out no fuel filter on 4.6, plus you can't open filler flap with engine running......;)

Still a few things to do though

Finished loading the kitchen sink into the P38 and waved the missus off on her trip to Paris, a furniture van would be better but I couldn't persuade her to take the Transit.

Beautiful sunny day today. Removed rear wing on near side and cut out the bad metal...then found some more. Will get the welding sorted tomorrow.

Today was Pollen filter leak time. Was a pleasant job in the winter sun, I stripped mine right back to the actual metal of the bulk head and re-sealed them, also cleaned out all the leaves and muck before refitting a new foam bit which is always rotted away in the centre of the scuttle.

P38 still working, missus took it to the centre of paris to a concert, parked 3 floors underground and it still worked when she got back to it:drum::)

Solved low idle problem by removing idle valve and cleaning up all good for now.
Why is it a problem arises with the rangie when you need it most ?
